Scholarship Procedure

Cyberlynx International College (CIC) offers scholarships and bursaries in two categories

(1) CIC Excellence Scholarship

(2) CIC Merit/Need Scholarship/Bursaries.

The following are the application procedures for eligible scholarship applicants:
Applications will only be accepted from students who meet the minimum application criteria:
Excellence Scholarship – 7As at SPM level or 3As at STPM level
Merit/Need Scholarship – Excellent Performance at SPM/STPM AND evidence of low income.

1)Scholarships applications must be accompanied by the Admission Application Form for a specific course.

2)To apply for a scholarship, complete the Scholarship Application Form available from the Registry/Admissions office

3)Submit the scholarship application form on or before the closing date specified in each semester by the admissions office.

4)Applicants must have received an offer of admission into a course before the scholarship closing date to be eligible for consideration.

5)Applicants must meet the minimum application criteria. It does not however guarantee award of a scholarship, which will be determined on a competitive basis. A limited number of scholarships are available in each year and the award of these scholarships rest solely with the CIC Scholarships Committee.

6)The main selection criterion in determining scholarship recipients will be academic merit in previous studies. However, other relevant factors may be taken into account in the selection process.

7)All scholarship applications will be reviewed by the CIC Scholarships Committee and the outcome will be advised within two weeks of the closing date of the scholarships.Scholarships can be offered either in full or partial subject to the decision of the
Scholarships Committee.

8)Successful applicants will be advised of the full conditions for the scholarship upon receipt of the scholarship offer and will be given a maximum of two weeks to accept the offer.

9)If scholarship/bursary is accepted the recipient will be required to make payment of the balance of the tuition fees (if applicable) within the first two weeks of commencement of the semester.

10)Scholarship recipients must maintain an overall CGPA of 3.8 and above in each semester of study in order to remain eligible for continued scholarship funding throughout their course duration. Scholarship recipients who do not maintain the required performance criteria will have the scholarship withdrawn and be required to make payment for the relevant semester of study in order to continue the course.

11)The College reserves the right not to award a scholarship if there are no applicants of sufficient merit in each semester or to amend the eligibility criteria from time to time as they deem fit.
